About me:
I live and work in Berlin and Seoul.
I studied Fine Arts at Kyungwon University (B.A., South Korea) as well as at HBK Braunschweig (Diploma, Germany).
My awards include the ZONTA Art Prize and a DAAD scholarship. My works have been exhibited, among others, at Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien (Berlin), Kunstverein Ludwigshafen, PORT25 Mannheim, EMERSON Gallery Berlin, Koenraad Bosman Museum, Kunsthaus Erfurt, Galerie Maurer (Frankfurt am Main), Kunstverein Pforzheim, and Seongnam Arts Center (Seoul).
My works are today in private collections in Europe and Asia.
About the work:
This piece was created in 2013, even before I began my “Dream Records Project.” At that time I explored whether it would be possible to regularly capture my dreams and document them over a longer period.
For this, I transferred dreams I could remember onto individual wooden elements. The work consists of a total of 10 wooden elements of different lengths, painted with acrylic.
The individual elements can be freely arranged on the accompanying wooden board and fastened with screws. This allows the work to be reassembled again and again, and its appearance changes with each arrangement. For the photos I have assembled a possible arrangement as an example.
Technical / Materials:
Acrylic on wood, 10 individual wooden elements
The 10 wooden elements each have a cross-section of 8 × 8 cm and varying lengths of 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 cm. The elements can be freely arranged on the wooden board and fixed with screws.
Dimensions:
The overall dimensions of the work depend on the arrangement of the individual elements.
The frame shown in the photos is for presentation purposes only and is not part of the sale. The work is sold without a frame.
Condition:
Age-related signs of use are present and are part of the character of the work. Overall, the work is complete and well preserved.

Directly from the artist’s studio.

With certificate of authenticity, issued by the artist.
