I create works in an abstract style, exploring line, brushwork, and blotting. With a luminous and vital chromatic palette. Brushstrokes marked by free and spontaneous gesturality, enhancing an organic movement. Always mindful of the composition and balance of the piece, as if it were a musical composition, with its rhythm, its resonance, its pauses and its nuances. And thus to be able to listen to it with the eyes and feel it with emotion.

About the artist:
SUSU, Susana Soto is a creator of visual and plastic arts. Born in Barcelona in 1972. She earned a Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona in 1994. She participated in Vitra’s summer workshop at Boisbuchet, France, in cooperation with the Vitra Design Museum and the Centre Pompidou.
She has worked for more than 15 years as a graphic designer, art director, and as a teacher in art schools. In 2015 she began the path of illustration. Since then she has worked as an illustrator for publishers and the advertising sector.
In 2022 she began her artistic journey in Barcelona, in a shared studio with other artists. She works with abstract painting and the portrait of the woman.
Throughout her career she has received several awards and mentions, both in graphic design and illustration. She has participated in group art exhibitions in Barcelona.
