Description from the seller
“Oriental Magic” is an original and spectacular oil painting by Neapolitan artist Antonio Pirozzi. It is a surrealist work, better described as magical surrealism or absurdist, where fantastical figures in peculiar costumes, dreamlike nocturnal landscapes, musical instruments, and extravagant animals evoke particular fairy-tale atmospheres infused with spirituality and philosophy, whose origin lies in a certain Oriental literature and in the so-called theater of the absurd. Here, in fact, the reverse logic is depicted—not born so much from dreams or the subconscious, but rather from a game of fantasy, in which all links are chosen with care to build a plot. Beautiful, fascinating, rich in vibrant colors that evoke magical and mysterious places, the work measures 70 cm in height x 60 cm in width and 2 cm in thickness. It is shipped by SDA Express Courier of Poste Italiane or with GLS; delivery times are: for Italy 2/3 days; for abroad 5/6 days. On the back, attached to the artwork, is the certificate of authenticity and the artist’s professional stamp. Antonio Pirozzi, born in Giugliano in Campania near Naples, is an architect and painter. He was trained among Neapolitan surrealist and metaphysical painters, among whom we mention Antonio Nunziante. The canvases, in fact, crystallize dreamlike and unreal atmospheres, compositions of notable poetic quality, built on absurd combinations that seem to evoke the realm of the subconscious and the arcane. He currently lives and works in Mugnano di Napoli."
