Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC has shaped his artistic world through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual research has become a passion that needed to be realized.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught plastic artist, joining the Pop Art movement through the subversion of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity expresses itself through the bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes collide with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermès, Veuve Clicquot champagne or even Caviar) and Street Art, blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds a little more.
He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all sorts of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals.
He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey and advertising and addiction in general.
All potential defects or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
HAND-FINISHED “Sculpture made for commercial purposes, hand-retouched by the artist XTC using acrylic paints and vinyl.”
