Rare work by the French artist Tancrède Bastet, signed and dated (Domène, 16 April 1858 – Grenoble, 12 May 1942). His works are kept mainly at the Grenoble Museum, the Dauphiné Museum, the Museum of the former episcopal see of Grenoble, the Bourgoin-Jallieu Museum, and the Museum of Fine Arts of Lyon.
The work still has its original contemporaneous frame measuring 60.5 cm x 53.5 cm.
