Precision aneroid barometer with thermometer – Sculpted wood, leather and gilded metal – Vintage

Elegant precision aneroid barometer with integrated thermometer, presented in a remarkable decorative stand in sculpted wood.
The dial bears the traditional weather indicators “Storm – Rain – Changeable – Fair – Very dry,” as well as the inscription “Precision Barometer.”

The piece stands out for its especially decorative aesthetic: a carved and varnished wooden case, rich raised floral decoration, brown leather trim adorned with numerous small gilded metal elements and a decorative metal end cap.
The upper part houses a thermometer graduated in degrees Celsius, while the main dial corresponds to the aneroid barometer.

An emblem in the shape of a shield bearing a stylized “T” is present on the lower metal element.

Era: mid-20th century, probably around 1960.
Materials: carved and varnished wood, leather, metal, glass and mechanical movement.
Condition: good overall vintage condition, with normal signs of aging and use: small scratches, marks and patina on the wood and metal elements, as well as wear marks on the leather. The glass also shows a few superficial age-related marks.
