Skepa is a French artist born in 1978, a painter and sculptor, co-founder of the BAFO movement.
Graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Lyon, he began his artistic practice with graffiti with Jone Hopper in the early 1990s.
His work is rooted in a free and instinctive approach, nourished by urban culture and contemporary plastic/artistic exploration.
Over the years, his painting has evolved toward a rougher and more expressive handwriting, blending abstraction, free figuration and the energy of the gesture.
Known for a distinctive and instantly recognizable universe, Skepa develops a powerful and vibrant body of work, regularly presented on the international art market.
