Biography: Frans Everbag

Frans Everbag was born in Amsterdam and lived there for his entire life, with a few interruptions. He is best known for developing the color etching technique, which yields painterly graphics. In addition to flower studies, he mainly devoted himself to Amsterdam cityscapes, which are still collectible today.

Subject: Amstelsluizen te Amsterdam (etches by the artist were also made of this subject).

Watercolor is in good condition, with a number of small rust spots on the left side, visible size 36x60 cm. The frame is also in good condition and will also be included free of charge with the work within the EU. Outside the EU, shipping is not included due to size, fragility, and weight.

Frans Everbag werd in Amsterdam geboren en woonde daar met enkele onderbrekingen zijn hele leven. Hij is vooral bekend geworden door de ontwikkeling van de kleuretstechniek, die schilderachtige grafiek oplevert. Naast bloemstudies heeft hij zich met name beziggehouden met Amsterdamse stadsgezichten, die ook tegenwoordig nog verzamelobjecten zijn. 

Voorstelling: Amstelsluizen te Amsterdam (van deze voorstelling zijn ook etsen vervaardigd door de kunstenaar).

Aquarel verkeert in goede staat met aan de linker zijde een aantal kleine roestpuntjes, zichtbaarformaat 36X60 CM. Lijst verkeerd eveneens in goede staat, deze wordt tevens gratis met het werk meegeleverd binnen de EU. Daarbuiten zonder door grootte, kwetsbaarheid en gewicht.
