Monastery chest - Tibet - 18th - 19th century

Ancient Tibetan wooden chest, 18th–19th century, with original hand-painted decorations in red and gold featuring traditional floral motifs. Solid-wood construction with reinforcements and original hand-forged iron hardware, typical of Himalayan craftsmanship. Shows signs of wear consistent with age (partial loss of paint, small crack on the edge of the lid), visible in the photos. Empty interior with original divider.
