AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

The artist presents Madonna in a vibrant Pop Art language, using an intense combination of electric blue, luminous yellow, coral pink and deep black. Her iconic features — platinum-blonde hair, dramatic eye makeup, red lips and distinctive expression — are reduced to strong graphic forms and expressive painterly gestures.

The work combines the visual impact of classic Pop Art with the spontaneity of an original hand-painted canvas. Visible brushstrokes, layered colours and the texture of the canvas give the portrait a raw, energetic quality that distinguishes it from a mechanically produced image.

The saturated blue background and luminous yellow portrait create a particularly strong contrast, making the work an eye-catching statement piece for a contemporary interior or Pop Art collection.

**Madonna was Jean-Michel Basquiat’s girlfriend in the early 1980s, and their relationship is part of the artist’s personal and cultural history.**

Dimensions: 156 × 102 cm
Original artwork, signed by the artist.
Delivered with a certificate of authenticity.

The painting is sold unstretched and will be shipped safely rolled in a protective tube.
