Description from the seller
Lot consisting of 2 ceramic urns of 500 ml, representing the famous Moro Heads, extra virgin olive oil produced by Terrano, Sicily - Italy.
MORO HEADS
Moro Head Bottle 500ml
The project stems from the idea of creating a bottle that represents the “Sicilianity” of an oil, to be presented to shops of gift items, gourmet shops, and Sicilian specialties both in Italy and abroad.
The idea of reproducing one of the most famous symbols of Sicily is to provide a crafted object combined with one of the Sicilian oils, so as to leave the consumer with a memory of this land and an object to keep even after the contents are finished.
The legend of the “Moro head” dates back to the 11th century, when the Moors invaded Sicily and became part of the population, so much so that they blended perfectly with the Sicilian population. The story of this vase will be included on the bottle label, also to provide the consumer with all the details of the origin of this vase that is found throughout Sicily.
The bottle is made of glass from a drawing-based mold; on one side the design of a female face, on the other the design of a male face. It is produced in dark glass or white-painted glass, possibly decorated with some details (mouth, eyes, necklace, etc.), to create different versions of the bottle for the retailer. The design of the bottle has been filed with the Chamber of Commerce of Catania to guarantee the originality of the container.
