Giusti "50" Aceto Balsamico di Modena Invecchiato 50 anni, 100 ml bottle, produced in Emilia Romagna, Italy, with PDO.
Description from the seller
Lotto consisting of 1 bottle of 100 ml of 50-year-aged Balsamic Condiment, produced by Acetaia Giusti, Emilia Romagna - Italy.
The house's most exclusive collection, produced each year in extremely limited quantities and drawn from some precious batteries of production casks dating back to 1700. One of these casks, coded A3, was brought by Giusti to the National Exhibition in Florence in 1861 where an elixir aged 90 years extracted from it won a gold medal, a success subsequently repeated in Paris at the 1889 Exposition.
Iconically the case is composed of the five woods that make up the typical battery of small casks; the front label is engraved in 24-carat gold, while the back label is produced with the ancient movable-type printing technique, using a 19th-century Modenese lead type.
Extracted each year in limited quantities, Giusti 50 is a special reserve aged over 50 years in the house’s oldest battery of botticelles. Characterized by a broad aromatic bouquet and the unmistakable sweet-sour taste, it presents intense woody notes and ripe fruit. Each little bottle is numbered and hand-finished, housed in a case with a small hand-blown glass pipette. A unique product, enhanced by the 24-carat gold label and printed with movable type, using a 19th-century Modenese type.
Ingredients: cooked grape must.
Aging: in ancient oak botticelles dating back to the 1700s.
Pairings: Risotto, fresh pasta, stuffed pasta, meats, aged cheeses and desserts.
