Anton Heyboer, Haan, a mixed media work from 1990 in the Expressionism style, original edition, signed, from the Netherlands, depicting animals, with a 40 × 30 cm format, in excellent condition, weighing 125 g, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Joke and Lotti Heyboer.
Description from the seller
"Kip" signed with oil paint on pressed Thai paper from c. 1990.
The “hen” by Anton Heyboer is actually a rooster: the proclaimer of truth. “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” Or the weather vane with a rooster: it points the direction. But you can just as well call it a primordial bird, for it is an archetype, one of the inherent images of humanity, but also of many animals. Every animal senses that danger is near, when it suddenly becomes quiet in the forest and you no longer hear birds. The flight of birds was seen as a sign of good or bad omens.
Birds are also a symbol of the free spirit: able to fly and often colorful.
The work comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Joke and Lotti Heyboer.
