Description from the seller
Rare edition by Stasinopoulos — an important book for collectors of early Greek enological (wine) literature and collectors of early Dimotiki writings.
On an academic and bibliographic level, this work is regarded as a valuable cultural-historical document. Scientific level: In 1904 it was a serious, practical-oriented and technically-scientific work that aimed to teach modern techniques to farmers and winemakers in Greece.
Historical status: Today, historians see the work as an important piece in the emancipation of the Greek vernacular within non-fiction. The book thus transcends the level of a simple "old manual" and has a fixed place in bibliographies on the Greek language struggle and early agricultural history.
usage marks and patina accrued over time, small paper imperfections,
light edge wear, old stain on the back cover.
solid binding.
beautiful and complete copy of this rare book, with numerous wood engravings.
