For sale is an exceptional CCCP Kashalot 2. An impressive mechanical watch for lovers of extraordinary designs, Soviet history, and Russian watchmaking craftsmanship.

The watch belongs to the Kashalot collection, whose styling was inspired by the Soviet Kashalot submarines. These submarines were deployed towards the end of the Soviet era, from 1988 onwards, and stood for the extraordinary technical and military engineering of that era. The characteristic, almost “one-piece” looking case design of the watch directly picks up this maritime inspiration.

Inside, a Slava 2427 automatic movement operates. This mechanical movement originates from the Soviet watchmaking tradition and is equipped with 27 jewels and automatic winding. The Slava watch tradition dates back to the 1920s and thus represents an important chapter in Soviet horological history.
