Description from the seller
Two expressive original works by the German artist Henning Kürschner (born 1941) are for sale.
The two works exemplify Kürschners characteristic gestural-abstract visual language. Bold lines, intense color fields, and freely arranged forms combine into dynamic, tension-filled compositions between figuration and abstraction.
Work 1: “Figurinen / Schwarzer Fleck”
A lively composition with figurative hints, strong black accents, and vivid red, yellow, and blue tones. The expressive line work and the overlapping of different pictorial elements give the piece a pronounced spatial and gestural dynamic.
Work 2: “Ohne Titel”
Also a powerful abstract-figurative work, marked by free lines, colored planes and a spontaneous, multi-layered image structure. The work embodies Kürschner’s typical combination of drawing gesture, color, and intuitive composition.
Both works were acquired through a gallery and have since remained in private ownership. For both pieces the original invoices are available, providing traceable provenance.
The works are framed and have been stored with appropriate protection. In our assessment they are in very good condition for their age. The frames are part of the offering.
