Unique wooden wall cabinet with mirrors, drawer, and floral carving – ca. 1930–1950

Atmospheric and striking wooden wall cabinet with a pronounced vertical composition, three mirror surfaces, a practical drawer, and gracefully carved details. A decorative piece of furniture that comes into its own in an entrance hall, bedroom, bathroom, or classically decorated interior.

The top is crowned by two turned wooden finials and three finely carved floral rosettes. Below is a half-round upper shelf with two small mirror surfaces. In the central part sits a wide drawer with an elegant metal pull, while the lower section again features a mirror and an open presentation space.

Such compact wall furniture with mirror, drawer, and storage space appeared mainly in the first half of the 20th century as hall, toilet, or apothecary cabinets. Similar pieces from around 1930–1950 combine wood, mirror glass, a drawer, and decorative ornamentation and were designed as space-saving wall furniture.

Based on the design, hardware, and construction, this piece seems best to fit the period circa 1930–1950. A specific maker has not been found, so the furniture is consciously not attributed to a designer or manufacturer.

Condition
The cabinet is in used vintage condition and shows clear age- and use-related traces appropriate to its age. The wood has local scratches, small dents, discolorations, and wear to the lacquer.

On the top horizontal surface the lacquer is locally clearly worn and dull. The mirrors also show age-related traces, including spots, haze, and localized deterioration of the reflective coating. This is clearly visible in the detail photos and contributes to the authentic character of the piece.

The drawer is present and functional. Photos are an integral part of the description and accurately reflect the condition.

A particularly decorative wall piece with a lot of character, which is excellent both functionally and purely as an interior object.
