Iconic actor of theater and cinema, Armand Meffre acted under the direction of major film-makers alongside Philippe Noiret, Jean Rochefort or Gérard Depardieu.
Trained in painting with master André Lhote, he developed a sensitive, luminous, and profoundly humane body of work.
His canvases, imbued with tenderness and poetry, reveal a deeply human gaze, between restrained emotion and sincere simplicity.
