About the artwork:
In his series "Flusso," the artist AVENZANO focuses on movement itself. Long, sweeping brushstrokes glide across the canvas, forming wave-like structures that recall water, wind, or dunes. Each brushstroke is executed in a single, continuous motion — freehand, without preliminary sketching or later corrections. The result is a rhythm that feels alive and yet never arbitrary: each wave follows its own track, each work bears the imprint of the moment of its creation. Painted on raw, unprimed canvas, the actual texture of the material remains visible, further enhancing the organic character of the forms.
About the artist:
AVENZANO is a professional painter. He lives and works in his studio in Germany. Influenced by the elegance of Italian design, the rawness of Brazilian Brutalism, and the clarity of contemporary minimalism, his works are characterized by strong graphic elements and a natural, earthy color palette. His practice is defined as much by what he brings to the canvas as by what he leaves out. Central to his work is the aesthetic concept of Wabi-Sabi: the belief that beauty lies not in perfection but in imperfection, irregularity, and authenticity.
