Very nice little work by Niek van der Plas.

The painter Niek van der Plas grew up in Katwijk aan Zee, as the eldest son in a family of four children. The fishing village where the old white church, the sea and the dunes occupy a prominent place is also found in many of his paintings. Niek began drawing at a young age, encouraged by his father. In 1966 he was nominated as a student at the Famous Artist School in the United States.

Van der Plas is a colorist. He preferably works with warm colors. His oil paintings thereby acquire a French atmosphere. The paintings are appreciated by a broad audience in domestic and foreign markets.
