Description from the seller
Antique figurative egg cup with coordinated spoon in 800 silver - 20th century
Refined and elegant vintage table set consisting of an egg cup and its coordinated spoon, entirely made in 800 silver of Italian manufacture from the 20th century.
The egg cup is distinguished by a splendid figurative stem finely worked in repoussé that depicts a putto in neobaroque style, intended to support the upper cup.
The coordinated spoon features a specially shaped handle designed to be elegantly attached directly to the rim of the egg cup.
Both pieces clearly bear the 800 silver assay mark inside an oval, accompanied by the silversmith's identification mark stamped on the back of the handle and on the base.
The item has a height of 8 centimeters, while the spoon measures 10 centimeters, for a total overall weight of 24 grams.
The set presents in excellent vintage condition, with a beautiful natural patina of time that enhances its worked details. It shows no dents or structural deformities, but only the normal and light signs of surface use consistent with its age.
