A unique, highly collectible set of four modernist ceramic dishes from the iconic “Baca” series, produced by the Danish Royal Copenhagen factory in the second half of the 20th century.
The “Baca” series, designed by the renowned ceramist and artistic director Nils Thorsson.
This thematically cohesive set, combining vases and bowls/plates, represents a rare find for both collectors of Danish mid-century design and enthusiasts of distinctive interior decor.
Set details and model numbers:
Tall rectangular vase: Form number 719 / 3121, height 19 cm
Smaller rectangular vase / bottle: Form number 719 / 3455 (Has preserved original, vintage Danish shop/gallery label on the bottom) height 19 cm
Larger square bowl / plate: Form number 719 / 2884, diameter 22 cm
Medium square bowl / vessel: Form number 719 / 2883, diameter 16 cm
Signatures and authenticity:
All pieces bear the classic Royal Copenhagen factory mark (three waves).
They bear the personal monogram of Nils Thorsson (NT) and decoration number 719.
The smaller vase has preserved a rare, original, antique Danish art/craft salon paper label (Axel Jensen), which enhances the object's historical value and provenance.
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition, suitable for the age of the items and their careful storage. No cracks or structural damages. Please review the photos closely, which show the beauty of the glaze texture and the signatures on the bottoms of each piece.
