Description from the seller
Biography
Rob van Oosten (born 1963) began painting in his teens. Among other things, by copying 'old masters' he discovered at that time what oil paint could achieve. However, his career did not head toward the artist’s path and he became a teacher. In addition, he continued painting. For many years these were still lifes with flowers, vegetables and fruit, but he noticed that he could not express his creativity sufficiently here. That changed when he started adding sand to his work and began using putty knives and steel brushes. His work became rougher and increasingly moved toward abstraction. Rob finds inspiration in life. That can be beautiful, but also has many rough edges.
Rob van Oosten's work has now found its way into private collections in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, Portugal, Spain, France and Greece.
Recent sale exhibitions were in the ‘Bomenmuseum’ in Doorn and at ‘Kasteel Amerongen’.
This work is painted with acrylic paint on canvas.
The dimensions (100 x 100 cm) refer to the entire canvas, therefore including the edges.
The painting is carefully rolled for shipment.
This painting is sold directly by the painter.
Shipping is done carefully and quickly.
