Vintage military canteen, closely resembling mid-20th-century European surplus such as the Italian Modello 1933 water bottle.
Key Features
Body: Lightweight aluminum container designed for field use.Cover: Fabric or felt outer sleeve in an olive-green or grey-green shade to help insulate the water.
Cap: Metal screw cap secured to the neck with a small metal chain.
Original Italian Royal Army (Regio Esercito) Model 1933 (M33) military canteen, widely used during World War II.
Capacity: 1.5 liters (approximately 50.7 fluid ounces). This standard issue size for troops was notably larger than many contemporary WWII canteens (such as the standard 1-quart/0.95L US M1910 canteen).
Dimensions: Approximately 27 cm × 18 cm × 11 cm (10.6" × 7.1" × 4.3") when fully enclosed in its standard military format.
