Andrea Krauß is among the notable figures of contemporary German painting. A recipient of the AOK Nordost (Berlin/Brandenburg) Art Prize and former fellow at the renowned Lukas Artists’ House in Ahrenshoop, she completed her studies at the Braunschweig University of Art. For many years she has consistently devoted herself to painting and today lives and works in her Berlin-centered studio.

At the center of her artistic work is the connection between memory, atmosphere, and landscape. Starting from personal impressions, Andrea Krauß develops imagery that points beyond the individual and touches universal experiences of nature, space, and transience.
