Alessi - Cake stand - Steel

This three-plate folding dessert stand, model “Mercury” (art. 898) by Alessi, produced in the 1960s. Made of mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel, it is distinguished by the cordonated edge finish and the floral and geometric chasing on the bottom of the plates, which retain the original adhesive label. The structure allows the three levels to be opened for service or closed vertically to reduce its footprint. The object is in excellent vintage condition. The opening mechanism is smooth and fully functional. The steel retains its original luster and shows only light superficial scratches due to time and use, visible in the photos.
