LZF - Bust, Busto di Lenin - 19 cm - Porcelain Biscuit

The original cast was designed by the artistic partnership of Veniamin Bogolyubov and Vladimir Ingal, renowned monumental sculptors active in Leningrad between the 1930s and 1950s.

The specimen was produced by LFZ, historically the most prestigious ceramic manufactory of the Soviet Union. The base bears the distinctive interlaced monogram stamped in red ink, a crucial detail, because in the Soviet quality-control system red certified unequivocally first choice (1-й сорт), free from firing defects. Next to it is printed the fixed state-set retail price: 1 ruble and 75 kopeks ("ц 1-75").
