This elegant antique blue-and-white decorative set consists of a lidded vase (dekselvaas) and a matching plate from the renowned Flamand Bleu series by Villeroy & Boch / Franz Anton Mehlem of Bonn, Germany, produced between the late 19th and early 20th century (circa 1874–1909).
Both pieces feature the characteristic transfer-printed decoration of the Flamand pattern: a charming landscape scene with trees enclosed within an octagonal cartouche, surrounded by an intricate background of floral and geometric motifs. The rich cobalt-blue decoration against the white earthenware body reflects the influence of traditional Dutch Delftware and the popularity of historic revival designs during the period.

Widest part: 21 cm
Top diameter: 9 cm
Base diameter: 10 cm
Matching plate: 20 cm diameter
Condition:
The vase and plate are in good antique condition with age-related wear consistent with their age. The interior rim of the lid has a small chip, which is not visible when the lid is in place. Please examine the photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
