Victor Hugo. 17 beautiful volumes (publisher, era) in red morocco half-binding with corners, spine with 4 raised bands and blind-stamped tooling, with gilt fleurons in the compartments and gilt titles. Boards covered with marbled paper, speckled edges. Light rubbing and wear of use with no consequence to the binding, interior with foxing (not serious), marbled endpapers. Title vignettes differ in each volume, nicely illustrated by the period’s best artists, with plates outside the text. 22x15 cm and 27x19 cm for 3 volumes, 17 kg (packaging included).
