Hippocrates' Aphorisms published for the first time in French in 1550. These aphorisms are considered one of the foundational texts of Western medicine. They contain principles and observations on health, disease, and medical practice. Each aphorism in Latin is followed by the translation and the commentary in French.

Bare frontispiece. Some decorated initials along the volume. A hand-drawn manicule on p. 151 to highlight aphorism 48 of Book Four. Printer’s mark at the end. Ex libris applied to the first flyleaf. Gora faded to a minor extent on the last 8 leaves. Copy in good conservational state, complete and usable.
