Original rare edition of the first Republican calendar printed in 1793 during the Terror. 2 folding plates, one of the table of concordance and the other of a time dial.

The names of the months and days were created by the poet Fabre d'Églantine and André Thouin, gardener of the Jardin des Plantes of the National Museum of Natural History. Each month echoes the French climate or important moments in the life of the fields. The days take the name of an agricultural product, a plant, an animal, or a tool.
