Lavenia - Vase - terracotta - Flask “Pellegrina”

Refined pilgrim flask in strong earthenware with two leaf-shaped handles and a blue-gold finish, produced at the Laveno works (Società Ceramica Richard-Ginori) under the Lavenia brand.
The piece bears on the base the factory mark impressed and stamped with dating 11-48 (November 1948), in addition to the brush autograph signature of the painter-ceramist.

Decoration: Entirely hand-painted on a finely crackled glaze (craquelé). The subject depicts a rich oriental motif (chinoiserie) with cranes, peacocks, and blooming peony branches in vivid tones (purple, cobalt blue, and green).

Conditions: Overall excellent condition, with vivid colors and fine gold details well preserved on the handles and the collar.
