Interesting work by painter Umberto Bianchini (Florence, 1934-2010) in oil on wooden panel, in good condition. The piece measures 23.5 x 30.5 cm. After higher education he began a career as an advertising graphic artist and approached the art world by studying painting, with particular interest in Post-Impressionism and in Tuscan portraitists, especially Boldini. He attended the studios of Enzo Pregno and Guido Borgianni, whom he befriended.
His favorite subject is the human figure, particularly the female, treated with great delicacy and chromatic softness.
Countless solo and group exhibitions and events in which he participated, earning critical and popular acclaim as well as various prizes. He also participated, by invitation, in numerous international group shows and exhibitions. His works are in private collections and in important public collections. Two of his works were purchased by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and by the Ministry of Tourism and Entertainment. One of his paintings is on display at the National Museum of Krakow (Poland).
He died in Florence on January 12, 2010.
