Albert Temming (1942) studied at the Artibus Art Academy in Utrecht, where he focused on realist painting. His work breathes calm and refinement: expansive meadows with cows, quiet villages by the water, snowy landscapes and still urban scenes. From his house opposite Amelisweerd he continually drew inspiration from the light and nature of that area.Temmings paintings have an almost classical appearance - think of 17th-century masters - but with a modern sensibility.
