From above, a golden, powdery light descends toward a deep red background, almost wine-like, crossing a pale band where tiny orange dots emerge. In this passage, saturated violet irises with broad, drooping petals arrange themselves, some nearly black in the shadows, others brightened by a blue that catches the light. The green, slender stems fall straight to the lower edge, giving the composition a vertical order that holds the entire surface together. The matter is dense in the flowers, where color rises in small reliefs, and granular at the bottom, built up by short, repeated touches. The contrast between violet and warm red creates an unusual, rich harmony with a wide breath.
