The dense green of the lawn is crossed by a pink cloud that thickens at the top and disperses downward into a rain of small pale touches. In the center the flowers bloom larger and more defined, deep pink and lilac, supported by dark slender stems that cut across the surface with a vertical movement. Deep burgundy and pure white spots are scattered everywhere, giving the composition a minute, almost musical rhythm. The matter is built up through the accumulation of short, granular brushstrokes, which allow the underlying green to emerge and multiply the variation in tone. From this arises a field in full bloom, captured up close, where everything seems in gentle motion. A fresh image, full of light.
