AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Piedmont School - Vito Cerutti (20th Century) - Snowfall in the Hills

Refined oil painting on plywood by the Piedmontese painter Vito Cerutti, active in the second half of the 20th century.
The work, small in format (9x13 cm), stands out for a notable sensitivity in rendering atmospheric phenomena and for a rich, textured painting technique. Through short, dense, and layered brushstrokes, the artist effectively conveys the impression of a snowfall in progress, which envelops the profile of the hills in the background and the bare tree in the foreground.
Cerutti demonstrates deep lyrical introspection, managing to convey the sense of quiet and the density of the air typical of the hilly landscape during winter months.

At the back there is the original ink stamp from the painter's studio ("Pittore Cerutti Vito"), which attests to its authenticity and provenance.
Technical details:
Author: Vito Cerutti (20th Century)
Technique: Oil on plywood
Painting dimensions: 9 x 13 cm
Condition: Excellent, paint film intact and stable.

Notes on the frame: The painting is set in an important period casement frame with gilded finish and bronzed profiles (overall dimensions 24 x 31 x 5 cm), also bearing the painter's stamp on the back. The frame should be considered purely a courtesy of the seller and is delivered as is; it is therefore not subject to guarantees, disputes, or post-sale claims.
