Jean Cocteau (1889‑1963, Maisons-Laffitte): French poet, novelist, playwright, draughtsman and filmmaker. In the 1930s, he created jewelry for fashion designers Elsa Schiaparelli and Coco Chanel. Jean Cocteau died on 11 October 1963, the day after the death of his friend Édith Piaf.
