Pair of Art Deco containers designed by the renowned French silversmith Christofle. This is an iconic, scarce model from its prestigious avant-garde design line Orfèvrerie Gallia.
Spectacular shine in silvered metal with ivory-tone details, made in France between 1920 and 1940. Each piece retains its original stand, fitted lid, and small cream-colored side handles. The design is geometric and refined, with horizontal bands and a highly polished finish reflecting the era's sophisticated aesthetics.
This specific design (commercially known in catalogs as part of the Ondulation or Vibration series) functioned as a single-piece passe-thé or individual coffee filter. They were luxury items originally supplied by Christofle to ocean liners, premium trains such as the Orient-Express, and the era’s select hospitality.
