A very fine mid 20th century 4/4 master violin, labeled Francesco Guadagnini fece in Torino nell' anno 1946 F G T. The instrument is in ready to play condition with no cracks, good ebony set up and new strings. The violin has an excellent medium grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of softly flamed maple with matched sides and scroll. Rich golden reddish varnish shows an amazing wooden choice. The whole length of the violin is 588 mm and the back 358 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 166 mm; middle bouts: 114 mm; lower bouts: 206 mm. Full size. The sound is very sweet, rich, powerful, suitable for soloist. Shipping worldwide insured
