German school (XVIII) - Coppia scene mitologiche

Elegant pair of antique paintings depicting two mythological scenes, executed in oil on canvas and preserved in their respective gilded frames.

The compositions, rich in figures and characterized by a theatrical and narrative setup typical of eighteenth-century painting, are conceived as pendants, i.e., two works intended from the outset to be shown together.
