Sanistyl – French vintage bathroom set with 2 wall lamps – opal glass and chrome
Extensive vintage bathroom set from the French Sanistyl, finished in chrome-plated metal and white opal glass. The different parts share the same characteristic design and decorative finish and clearly form one cohesive series.
The set consists of 6 components:
2 identical wall lamps with gracefully shaped white opal glass shades;
1 double swiveling towel rack with two long, ribbed arms;
1 round towel ring;
1 double wall hook with two hooks;
1 holder, presumably originally intended as a tumbler holder.
The chrome-plated backplates have an elegant, tapering shape with a decorative pearl edge. The ribbed and floral details recur on several parts. The two wall lamps are particularly beautifully executed, featuring opal glass and a decorative flower/rosette motif on the underside.
Condition: the set is in nice vintage condition with normal signs of use and aging. The presumed tumbler holder has some interior damage; this is clearly shown in one of the photos.
Important: the two wall lamps are offered without electrical wiring. The electrical installation therefore still needs to be installed/checked by the buyer before the lamps can be used.
