Handsome and fascinating travel classic book in the original cloth bindings. The book is wonderfully illustrated with folding map of Australia at the end of the volume, and 75 striking full page colour plates, captioned on the tissue guards by Percy F. S. Spence. With text by Frank Fox.
Published by Adam and Charles Black, London (1910). Publisher’s original blue boards, lettered in gilt, and decorated in a fancy Art Nouveau style all over the upper cover and spine, featuring floral design in green and gold. Top page edges gilt.

Condition
The book is beautifully designed and illustrated. Firm and well bound copy. External covers in nice shape, with light wear to corners, and to top and foot of spine. Internally the book is in very good condition indeed. No names or inscriptions. Pages are clean. Inner hinges are very good, and pages are tightly held at gutters. The text is fresh. The attractive illustrations make this a truly beautiful title (Excellent Copy) (Please see pictures).
