Traditional suntiang, a lush bridal crown from the Minangkabau people, West Sumatra, Indonesia.
Made of cut and formed metal in copper and gold tones.
Decorated with floral motifs and bird figures, complemented by hanging ornaments.
This piece was made in the 1950s–1990s, traditional handicraft from a local workshop. Everything is secured with thin metal wires and rods.
The crown has a beautiful patina.

Traditionele suntiang, weelderige bruidskroon afkomstig van de Minangkabau volk, West Sumatra, Indonesië .
Gemaakt van uitgesneden en gedreven metaal in koper en goudkleurige tinten.
Versierd met florale motieven en vogelfiguren aangevuld met hangende ornamenten.
Deze is gemaakt in de jaren 50-90, traditioneel handwerk uit een lokale werkplaats. Alles is bevestigd met dunne metalen draadjes en staafjes.
De kroon heeft een mooi patina .
