Cyril Keller - The Lesson

My name is Cyril Keller. I was born on September 12, 1978 in Saarland.

My artistic journey began in the early 1990s when I discovered graffiti art for myself. From about 1993 to the end of the 1990s, graffiti was my great passion. During this time, my enthusiasm for colors, forms, and creative expression developed—the foundation of my painting today.

In 2015 I found my path into abstract art. A completely new creative world opened up for me, which continues to inspire me to this day. Since then I have devoted myself with great passion to abstract painting and continuously experiment with new techniques, color compositions, and image structures.

I am especially fascinated by the unique shapes and structures created by the squeegee technique. Each painting is, for me, a new journey of discovery where intuition, creativity, and a spirit of experimentation come together. As a self-taught artist I love to continually develop myself and find new possibilities to bring emotions and dynamism onto the canvas.

Today I consciously allow myself more time for my art than ever before and look to the future with enthusiasm. My goal is to create works that touch people, spark their imagination, and give them lasting joy.

The most wonderful thing about abstract art, for me, is its openness. Every viewer discovers something of their own, brings their personal thoughts, feelings, and experiences into a painting, and lets it resonate in a completely individual way. It is precisely this connection between artwork and viewer that makes abstract painting so special to me.
