Description from the seller
Untitled, from the series A SUMMER WITHOUT END. Unique work, signed and numbered 1/1. Black-and-white print on baryta paper enhanced with oil painting. “There is in childhood summers a certain indefinable something timeless. On this small shore of southern Finistère, where friends, cousins, nephews, nieces, grandchildren gather each year, nothing comes to hinder freedom of movement. The beach offers an unlimited playground and only the landscapes and activities vary with the tides. This time so pleasantly repetitive - beach, swimming, snack - gives a sensation of eternity; summer cannot end… Summer is without end.” Irène Jonas is a photographer and sociologist. Born in 1958, she lives in Paris and in Guilvinec in southern Finistère. She has been part of the Révélateur agency since 2016.
