Sambuco, Deruta - Centrepiece - Ceramic

Splendid centerpiece with a hand-painted majolica lid. Finely painted in Deruta's Raffaellesco style, with detailed benevolent dragons and rich scroll and foliage motifs. Created by the renowned master craftsman Mario Sambuco, founder of the eponymous and renowned ceramics company in Deruta in the 1950s. Refined artisanal craftsmanship from the past, of great quality and Italian elegance. Only slight signs of age visible from the photos. Very fascinating and in excellent condition.
