RARITY AND COLLECTOR VALUE
- Era/Period: Late 1990s (circa 1996–2000).
The Ferrari + Shell combination (with this specific graphic and the sleeve tricolor) directly evokes the golden era of Scuderia Ferrari led by Jean Todt and dominated by Michael Schumacher. Shell returned as technical partner and fuels supplier to Ferrari in 1996, inaugurating one of the most successful partnerships in motorsport history.
- Why is it a rare piece?
“Long Sleeve” format: most vintage Ferrari merchandise and official products from that period were short-sleeved. The long-sleeve rugby/polo style with a contrasting beige collar is a decidedly less common model and highly sought after by enthusiasts.
Condition. Finding a garment over twenty years old in practically perfect condition with the official internal labels still intact is extremely rare. Most of these items have been worn or show wash wear, while this example has maintained vibrant color saturation and embroidery brilliance.
