Natura morta is an oil on canvas still life from Italy, framed, dating to 1980–1990.
Description from the seller
Magnificent oil on canvas still life signed by the Italian master Spartaco Lombardo (born in Gemonio in 1958). The work measures 50 x 70 cm (72x92 with frame) and is presented within a period-appropriate frame finished in green and gold tones, offered as a furnishing accessory.
The composition follows the great Italian figurative tradition, reinterpreted through Lombardo's sensitivity and rigorous technique. At the center stands a polished copper cauldron, masterfully rendered in the warm metallic reflections of the light, flanked by a classic wicker-covered fiasco, a green apple, an orange, and a red onion arranged on a draped surface. To provide a chromatic and poetic counterpoint, there are delicate white and blue floral touches that frame the background with dense, vibrant, and tactile brushwork.
The work is signed by the artist in the bottom right and is accompanied by a precious original certificate of authenticity affixed to the back of the canvas. The document bears the artist’s autograph, the studio contacts in Gemonio (VA) and the archival bibliographic and critical references (L’élite - Selezione Arte Italiana), with a note by Remo A. Piperno, certifying its value and cataloguing.
Conditions: The work and the painted surface are in excellent condition.
Shipping: The painting will be packed with the utmost care using appropriate protective materials and shipped via trackable courier.
