Original official manifesto created in 1996 to celebrate Vespa’s fifty years, one of the absolute icons of design and Italian industry worldwide.

The image, of extraordinary graphic impact, was designed by Italo Lupi, one of the most important Italian designers and art directors of the 20th century, celebrated for his innovative visual language and for collaborations with some of the most prestigious Italian institutions and companies.

For this celebration Lupi reinterprets Vespa in an artistic and conceptual key, constructing its silhouette with materials and textures that evoke the project, travel, and creativity. A manifesto that has become one of the emblematic images of Vespa’s half-century and particularly sought after by collectors of contemporary graphics, Italian design, and Piaggio memorabilia.

Printed on the occasion of the official celebrations of Vespa’s 50th anniversary (1946–1996), it represents an authentic testimony of Piaggio’s institutional communication from the 1990s.
